In the past, the advertising revenue opportunity
had been a challenge for internet broadcasters primarily
because of the technology limitations on how the advertising
was implemented, and the lack of reporting available to
track advertising effectiveness. The IP Network Systems design has
overcome these limitations and improved this opportunity
by providing dynamic ad content programming which allows
for flexibility of ad insertions, and comprehensive measurement
reporting of viewer usage. Additionally, advertising can
be developed and supported from several sources including
digital video and audio, html, and now from Macromedia®
Flash™ animations, and easily integrated with third-party
ad servers
IP Network Systems Features for Advertisers
and Broadcasters
Dynamic Ad Content Programming
By using Windows Media Services 9 framework,
IP Network Systems supports a wide variety of advertising types,
including lead-ins, bumpers, trailers and interstitial ads.
Internet broadcasters can maximize advertisement reach for
example, by playing an advertisement before the broadcast,
regardless of when a viewer tunes in. IP Network Systems makes this
happen by supporting play lists on the Server-Side, instead
of previously on the Player-Side. This feature enables Radio
and TV Program Director level of functionality for both
on-demand and lives streams, and provides the unprecedented
ability to dynamically change the content within the play
list seamlessly. For advertisers, this means that ads can
be inserted throughout the broadcasters play list during
broadcasts without interruption to the viewer.
Measurement Reporting
The IP Network Systems platform provides comprehensive
reporting that allows internet broadcasters the ability
to accurately and effectively track and report on advertisement
reach, and to measure usage in order to fine-tune the effectiveness
of the ads and provide reporting back to advertisers.
