BENEFITS OF OUR SYSTEM

Ultimately, IP Network Systems helps customers develop new, valuable business models around streaming and downloadable media; we also help customers validate the business models that they already have in place. With Windows Server 2003 and Windows Media Services 9 Series, IP Network Systems is developing the kinds of solutions that help maintain and advance its position in the content and digital media delivery industries. IP Network Systems is now able to rapidly develop modern, distributed applications that fully leverage the benefits of secure Web services.

With Windows Media Services 9 Series and Windows 2003 Server, thousands of APIs are exposed so we can easily develop customized solutions. The Framework and Visual Studio .NET 2003 provide a highly productive environment for developing solutions on the Windows Media Services 9 Series platform. IP Network Systems is able to move quickly and help customers meet the demands of an ever-changing business environment.

Securing Content with Web Services

One of the most difficult challenges that IP Network Systems faced involved receiving content from its customers, by adopting a fully web-services enabled environment, customers can send digital content to IP Network Systems direct from the IP Network Systems Encoder application. IP Network Systems Encoder will encode, encrypt, and publish to distribution portals and in REAL-TIME track the sales of the content for the customer.

Another example of how IP Network Systems is using Web services to enhance the Windows Media platform is with its Token Management Service, which allows customers to sell access to streaming and downloadable content in minutes, hours, days, or in purchase units. The Token Management Service can be used in several ways. For instance, a token can be used to grant users a predetermined number of minutes of access for a fixed rate, thus taking advantage of pre-paid cards, etc.

The Token Service can also be used if a customer has a subscription model and wants to prevent users from abusing the system. For example, when a user buys a subscription to a streaming service, the Token Management Service can be used to limit the subscription to a certain number of minutes per day, etc.

IP Network Systems has developed its X-Media Web Services API, which is designed to help media service providers, record company’s, book publishers, and film studios, to easily track the payment, aggregation of content , Track Rights, and request payments from IP Network Systems
